We are the first builder to come up with an innovative idea of setting up a school with proper state board curriculum at our SNN Raj Serenity project. This is a real CSR initiative which gives us an opportunity to give back something to those who put in their best efforts to help us achieve our goals. The formal school for the labourers’ kids, whose parents are employed at SNN Raj Serenity, has been an initiative taken up by SNN and the Builders Association of Bangalore, the Education Department and the Labour Department.
The students have been formally enrolled by the government, thereby making it an official school status and children are taught by a government teacher, making the education a formal one. The total cost for the establishment of the school, building and other infrastructure is estimated at Rs 5 lacs, and has been funded by SNN Group as well as Contractors (representing builders association).
Children of migrant workers who do not get any opportunity of any kind of formal education are now receiving education free of cost along with healthy free mid day meals provided by the Govt. Children who have never gone to school, now have an opportunity to study and be a model citizens of this nation.
