  • Wall Colors: The Vaastu Colors ideal for your bedroom are soft pastel shades of blue, green and off white. Vaastu recommends light colors for bedroom. The color of bedroom should be light rose, pink, blue, yellow and green. Avoid black, very bright colors and red color in bedroom.
  • Lightings: Have soft and dim lighting in the bedroom. This helps in maintaining a soothing feeling in the room. Have adjustable lights to give levels of comfort according to your choice. Lights should be planned in such a way that it must create a light or relaxing environment. Table lamps or hanging lamp shades provides the room a very aesthetic look.

  • Direction for Bed: According to Vaastu, you can use any direction to sleep but having the head in the north direction should be completely avoided. Vaastu recommends sleeping with your head to the south. This will welcome positive energy that comes from the north. The master bedroom is best suitable for the South West corner of the house. Having a mirror on the wall opposite to the foot of your bed can disturb your sleep. Children should preferably have head in the East direction while sleeping to increase positive energy.
  • Electrical Appliances: Electrical appliances should be kept in south-east of the room. TV in bedroom will disturb your sleep, avoid TV for sound sleep. If you place T.V. in bedroom, it should be kept in south-east of bedroom. It should never be placed in front of bed as it works like a mirror. The South West portion of your bedroom can be occupied with heavy furniture like almirah and wardrobes.

  • Vaastu does not recommend placing idols, aquarium and plants in the bedroom.
  • Vaastu recommends light colors for bedroom.
  • Have soft and dim lighting in the bedroom. This helps in maintaining a soothing feeling in the room.
  • Clutter, especially under your bed, weighs you down and keeps your mind subtly connected to the past, which does not allow for forward or progress.
  • Having the head in the north direction for sleeping should be completely avoided.

A properly located bedroom provides complete relaxation after a weary day and brings good things into life. Avoid placing bed in corners or under the beam. Remember your bed should not touch walls keeping 2 or 3 inches distance. Almirah or wardrobe should be placed in a way leaving the south-east, the north-east, the south-west and the northwest corners as well as the east and the north directions.Sound sleep and relaxation is the secret of healthy body or mind.

Tips for relaxing bedroom

Here are some tips for preparing your bedroom for sound sleep and a place for relaxing.

Colors plays vital role in sound sleep. Color and design of each room should be matching to purpose of room. Colors for bedroom must be cool and light color. Bright colors disturb your sleep and mood.

heavy-meals Have light meals before sleep

Avoid heavy meals in the night. Have 1 or 2 servings of fruits and salads.

Avoid watching TV in bedroom Limit TV watching and access to PC

TV is one of the devices that disturb your sleep. Never keep a television and PC in bedroom. Bedroom is to rest or relax, avoid TV and PC from your bedroom

Read in your bedroom while sleep Music or reading books
