High growth of real estate projects in Bangalore leads to the water crisis of the city.

To prevent the rising water crisis in the city, rain water harvesting projects must be taken up by the complexes.

As far as I know recently the High Court cancelled the Agara Lake’s PPP contract.

Then who is going to take care of the restoration work of the Agara lake.

Drinking water crisis is a major concern for the residents in and around Marathalli.

According to the residents, security is another concern for them. There is no street light among those apartment complexes.

The rain water over flowed from the drains as they are getting blocked by the waste materials dumped by the drains. So due to water on the roads, the traffic became slower during rain.

What is wrong with BBMP why they are not taking any action regarding this situation?

The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) claims that they are prepared for the rainy season, the city is more or less brought to its knees during the monsoon. Everytime it rains, the low-lying areas are flooded.

Last year BBMP has planned to start the secondary drainage cleaning process. But the process is yet not started as the approval process is delayed and the tender process is still on.

As builders are constructing apartments on the bund of lakes, the maintenance work of the lake side was avoided by the BBMP.

According to the Supreme Court rules, it is illegal to construct any property within 30 meters from any lake bund.

The locality is no wonder a beautiful place with presence of lush green spread all over. It is a purely an industrial area covered with wide spread eucalyptus plantations. The area is surrounded by other such localities like Kr Puram , Dooravani Nagar, Kuvempu Nagar, Dodda Nakkundi, etc.

The price of the resale flat depends on the project, amenities and specification provided. As far as I know the price starts from Rs 25lakhs onwards.

Hi Prabhu, I think your concern is right. There's water problem in Devanahalli and the govt. has planned to provide treated water supply in the taluk.

There is an accute shortage of drinking water in Devanahalli currently. That's the major concern of its' residents.

The 27th and 28th main roads at HSR layout have got new looks. The roads have been tarred well and the traffic movement has also eased.

The roads have been tarred, kept clean and well maintained at Sarjapur road. The residents in Sarjapur road can now sigh a relief.

The open pits especially in Jayanagar 3rd block is posing threat to resident's lives.

I also witnessed the Banaswadi junction wherein garbage being dumped on the service roads. The whole of service roads has been covered by debris and seems like it has not been cleaned since months.

The condition of the road is like that for many years and the garbage dumping is also causing health hazards to the pedestrians.

The flyover will act as a link between East and West connecting Tumkur Road to Hosur Road. Mainly it is a sign of relief for people like us travelling in bike.

Bangalore commuters can now sigh a relief with the launch of new flyover in the Outer Ring Road.

In Bangalore it has been a game of laying and removing the speed breakers. Also, I heard that due to speed breaks in many areas accidents are increasing.

The Traffic Department is removing the speed-breakers because they were unscientific which is causing damage to commuters.

Shameful act upheld at defence land in Bangalore. People can only see huge dump of garbage in the premises of this land.

Why the civic authority is not taking any action against them?

According to a recent survey, Bangalore city has lost 66 per cent of its green vegetation, 74 per cent of water bodies and there is rapid increase in the built-up area by 584 per cent.

Hai folks, I just got to see this question and I would be glad to reply as I am a resident at Austin town. To make you all understand, the civic works carried here is worse and so are the footpaths.

The roads and footpaths at Austin town are in horrible condition and this is the example city maintaining worse civic infrastructure.

The Bellandur Lake at Sarjapur road in Bangalore is under BBMP's jurisdiction and they have called for a clearance of lake. However, the work is till date kept pending.

The lake is polluted in a large scale its leading to health hazards for the people staying in the apartments at Sarjapur road and major harm to the environment in Bangalore.

Hi Sophia, there was some problem in engine for which helicopter was landed on emergency basis.

Fortunately there was no damage caused to people or properties in this incident. The chopper landed safely on the rooftop.

There is no proper roads to commute with vendors occupying most of the road and no traffic police to regulate, pedestrians find it tough to use the main road.

I reside in Bangalore and we are fed up with the improper water supply. Water issues seems not to end in the city.

Solution :- try saving water and reusing as much as possible.

In a recent research it is found that the water we get from taps or deep bore wells are fit for drinking. Many experts have suggested BBMP to supply piped water to provide safe drinking water to citizens.
