About Kompally
Kompally is one of the greenest suburbs in Hyderabad. Previously, it was village situated in the outskirts of the city with grape vines and farm houses.
In the early 1960s, this place had prime grape vineyards started by Sri Chekuri Suryanarayana Raju and Late Sri Byrraju Satyanarayana Raju, then chairman of Satyam Group of Companies. Currently, all the gardens have been turned into residential layouts.
It comes under the Malkajgiri Parliamentary constituency and Qutubullapur Assembly constituency. Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Area (HMDA) takes care of the area's development. Some of the educational institutes in close vicinity are Malla Reddy Group of Institutions, St.Peter's Engineering College, Narsimha Reddy Engineering College, St. Martin's Engineering College, Institute of Aeronautical Research and Institute, CMR College of Engineering and many more.
It is linked to rest of the city via 250 feet, 6 Lane, NH 7 which also goes towards Nagpur and is just 10 km from Paradise, Secunderabad. Some of the landmarks in vicinity are Prajay Apartments, Runway-9, Satyam Computers, A P Forest Academy at Dhulapally, Apparel Export Park, EMRI and Dhola-ri-Dhani.
It is at a distance of 50 km from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and 16 km from Secunderabad Railway Station. The nearest MMTS Train station is at Bollarum.
