First Handicrafts Tableau for Republic Day

For First time the “rich cultural heritage” of Indian handicrafts will have a tableau of their own. The tableau will be No. 14 in the order of the march at the parade and the tableau is designed by the National Centre for Design and Development.

The cultural heritage of 20 states would show case tableau in Republic Day parade. ‘Indian Handicrafts-Magic of Gifted Hands’ is the logo adopted by the Textiles Ministry and same logo was used during the Indian International Trade Fair (IITF) In November last year.

Republic Day of India is one of the three national festivals and this year over 160 CCTVs are keeping a tight vigil on people’s movement between Rajpath and Red Fort. The first woman Prime Minister of Thailand Yingluck Shinawatra will be attending the Republic Day celebration.
