Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has plans of hiring around 120 private water tankers for the city.
These water tankers will be hired for better water supply in the city with a cost of Rs 1650 per day.
This initiative has been taken after an announcement of around Rs 100 crore for the cost of water supply for the denizens of Bangalore.
The civic body has also plans of repairing 8000 borewells around the city.
BWSSB has also cautioned people over buying of water from anyone and everyone and paying money without any knowledge of the person.
