As Bangalore has been witnessing many slums in the city, BBMP is planning to take an initiative to do away with it.
The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has planned to take Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO)’s help to make a slum free city.
BBMP had meeting with HUDCO officials and came to the conclusion of providing help to the urban poor at lowest rates.
BBMP also wants HUDCO as consulting partners during construction of cluster homes. Around Rs 150 crore has been allocated for construction of such houses for the poor.
