KSPCB has decided to spread a message to all the apartments and companies in Bangalore city to grow sandalwood trees in their premises.
This sounds to be pretty interesting! However, the main agenda behind this initiative is the drop rate in the growth of sandalwood trees in the city!
In context with the same topic KSPCB chairman AS Sadashivaiah say that they have been successful in planting 54 lakh saplings in the year 2010.
Also, a fact that sandal theft is being increased the growth as well as security of these plants are must, according to KSPCB officials.
KSPCB has thus decided to approach and insist apartment owners to plant sandalwood, oak, teak and neem in their premises.
