Kanakapura is a town found in the south of Bangalore, within the Bangalore Urban District. It is situated in the Ramanagar district, which is the known as the silk town of India and is the headquarters of the Kanakapura Taluk in the state of Karnataka. The road starts from Majestic and stretches for approximately 27 kms that leads to the Kanakapura Taluk. It lies on the National Highway NH 209.
Kanakapura is also known for its lush greenery and wide open spaces that are tucked in with several lakes. The long stretches of roads that go along the semi-urban spaces have served for long drives and family trips due to reduced traffic. It is noted for its sericulture production, brick mills and granite industries. The Kanakapura Road also lies close to the Bannerghatta National Park. The area is mostly exclusive of the IT sector and its tech parks but has several other amenities that make it a good catch on the Bangalore realty radar.
With a huge number of prospective housing and retail development, the localities that fall along the Kanakapura Road are bound to have well-kept social infrastructure facilities. There are several educational institutions ranging from engineering colleges to regular colleges, and international schools. The area includes hospitals, clinics, supermarkets, shopping malls, etc.

Connectivity and Transit Points
The Kanakapura Road is situated on the National Highway NH 209. The Kanakapura Road has transit points that give you several options to travel by. There is abundance of buses with the KSRTC Bus Depot on the Kanakapura Road. The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has also recently been operating air-conditioned Volvo buses on the Nice Road. Apart from these, there is the availability of non-AC BMTC buses, auto rickshaws and cab services for other means of transport.
There are several railway along the Kanakapura stretch and these would include the Bidadi Railway Station, the Kengeri Railway Station, the Jnana Bharathi Railway Station and the Ramanagara Railway Station. The BMTC transport facilities assure buses that go in and around the city throughout the day. The Majestic Bus Station connects most of the city to Kanakapura Road and several major junctions come along the same stretch that includes Chamrajpet, Gandhi Bazaar, Basavangudi and Banashankari.
The Kempegowda International Airport is around 41 kms away from Kanakpura Road and takes approximately 90 minutes to get there, although it might vary with the traffic conditions.
It has better connectivity from Mysore Road via Nice Road.
