Aadhar cardAadhar Card by UIDAI aims at providing a unique number to all Indian. The 12-digit unique number is planned to link with various identity databases such as Voter’s Id, Bank Account, permanent address etc. Aadhaar card is a source of Identity Verification Card to be used in India. This card consists of a 12 digit number that is stored in the centralised data based link. The basic demographics of the card include photograph of an individual, ten finger prints. The generation of this card is devoid of any cast, creed and geography of an individual. Aadhaar card aims in bringing in the oneness amongst the Indians.

Agency Overview and Business Opportunities of Aadhar Scheme

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) in collaboration with the Government of India has introduced this scheme. This was established in the year 2009 and its head quaters is in New Delhi. The Chairman of this scheme is Nandan Nilekani the co-chairman of Infosys Technologies and the General Mission Director is headed by Ram Sewak Sharma who is an IAS Officer of Jharkhand Government. Rajana Sonawane belonging to Tembhli village was the first resident to receive an Aadhaar card. The annual budget of this scheme is estimated to be Rs. 3,000 crore according to the statistics of the year 2010.

Pranab Mukherje the Minister of Fiance has allocated Rs 900 crores (US$423.7 million) to the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) for the year 2010 and 2011. This scheme is unique as its providing lot of job opportunities to the people in India. The initial estimate of  the project establishment until the time of implementation of the first phase has provided 100,000 new jobs in the country. The business opportunities are estimated to cross the figure of Rs 6,500 crore.

Arms License, Pensioner Card, Freedom Fighter Card , Kissan Passbook , ECHS, CardPassport , Bank Statement, Passbook, Post Office Account Statement, Passbook, Ration Card , Voter ID, Driving License, Government Photo ID cards. Electricity Bill, Water bill, Telephone, Landline Bill, Property Tax Receipt, Credit Card Statement, Insurance Policy(All these bills should not be older than three months)

  • Date of Birth Proof:

Passport, SSLC certificate or Birth Certificate.

Unique Identification Authority of India: Aadhar card is a unique identification card for the residents of India. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the other Nationalized Banks are yet to approve this card. Once it is approved the card registration will be made mandatory for the citizens of India.
