Add glamour to home decor with indoor plants

Most of us love plants and would love to have them in our balconies or outside the garden. Having plants inside the house not only makes it more beautiful but also helps in making the living space more fresh and lively. However, just keeping plants inside home is not enough it is important to take care of the plants regularly so that they unleash their glamor and make your home a relaxing, healthy and more beautiful place.

The beneficial reasons of having plants at home are discussed below:

Improves the air quality:

A potted plant at home removes various impurities present in the air. According to the researches, there should be a plant in every hundred square feet to have non-polluted air. In case of indoor plants, some plants have a more beneficial effect as compared to others. Chrysanthemum is the best indoor plant that removes the harmful pollutant benzene, which is present in paints, gasoline, and rubber as well as plastic. If we want to maintain a fresh and non-polluted environment in our living space there is no alternative to green potted plants.

Maintain humidity:

Indoor plants are great moisture controllers. They prevent the weather inside from becoming too much dry which is especially beneficial during the dry winter months. The humidity is controlled by the plants as and when required, so that optimum moisture content in the indoor environment is maintained at all times. Dry environment not only makes our skin to dry up but also makes us susceptible to bouts of flu and cold. However, differences in humidity also affect the plants themselves so it is important to keep noting whether the tips of the leaves of the plants are turning brown.

Reduces noise pollution:

Indoor plants help to absorb noise levels in our homes and offices. Since the traffic and noise pollution has increased now-a-days, plants are beneficial for the homes close to the road. Plants make the environment noise free and thus reduces the level of stress. By keeping potted plants on the windows facing the road will help absorb noise in a small level.

Quality of living increases:

Indoor plants have a magical effect in increasing the quality of our life in general and uplifting our mood. We will be able to keep the daily stress and anxiety at bay by living in the company of green plants. Improvement in the performance of the staff is also found in the workplaces where potted plants are kept.

Vastu:

Even the traditional art of home design in India considers planting of trees inside the house is good for health and peace of mind. Having tulsi plant in the center of the house is an old practice. Even the Chinese art of living Feng Shui considers the keeping of plants in home environment and conducive practice which keeps both our body and mind healthy and sound.

In case you don’t have much time to take care of the plats at home you can consider water dispensing mechanism.
