    • One of the most important aspects of self-protection is to trust your intuitions. Ensure that you pay heed and act upon any situation which makes you feel insecure or is a threat rather than ignoring it.
    • One of the best self-defence tactics is to yell and scream as loudly as you can. Yelling and screaming will increase the chances of the attacker attacking you but will also alert people around you.
    • Do not ever portray yourself as timid or scared in front of men. Always walk with your head held high and be confident. This will avoid you from being a target.
  • Avoid frequent outing at late nights. It is always safe and better to take a trust worthy man along till you reach your home. Make sure to stay in areas with ample amount of
  • light.
  • Do not be embarrassed to seek a security guard’s help when you are alone in an aloof place during day or night. He might just save you from the possible forthcoming disasters.
  • Decide and have a plan of action to save your life. Make sure to carry self-defence weapons in your bag every time you step out. Weapons like a pen knife, stun guns, pepper sprays, chilli powder, personal alarms and many more can save your life in times of danger.
  • Most of us prefer running away than fight with the attacker. In such cases where an attacker attacks you, try and drop all your weight on the ground which will help you loosen his grip from you. This in turn will give you time to run away.
  • You can also use your teeth and fingers to harm him by biting or jabbing it into his eyes. This will give you enough time to run away.
  • It is always superior to learn forms of martial arts. This might help you in cases if the attacker is puny and fat.
  • The effective parts of body to be aimed at while in a self-defence position are the eyes, nose, neck and the knees.
  • Learning self-defence techniques boosts confidence in women. They will feel stronger, empowered and worthy to protect themselves.
  • Learning those techniques will ease your worries and builds up confidence that you can protect yourself against an attacker. This will also make single women mentally strong to survive alone.
  • Apart from being physically active, self-defence techniques also improve a woman’s physical health. They help in the muscle and cardio training as well as energy levels.
  • Self-defence techniques will also help relax a person’s mind. It is very important that women should learn to watch their back for any suspicious looking person or activity.
