Here are some ideas which should be taken in to consideration while safeguarding your assets;

Behind a mirror or a portrait:

Not everyone would think of stashing their cash and assets in such places. You can hide your valuable assets and jewellery in various compartments which are placed behind a mirror, a portrait, a cupboard, a false door and so on. Think of creative ideas and ensure that only you have easy accessibility to that compartment.

Another crafty idea to secure your valuables in your apartment is to store them under false flooring or a false tile. Ensure that the false flooring tile is well blended and situated at the same level as the entire floor. Having false storage flooring will also give you enough space to store big items. This can further be covered by a rug or a carpet.

False ceiling compartment:

Today most of the apartments have false ceilings for various reasons. In such cases, one can get creative and make a small compartment in their false ceiling to store the valuables. Ensure that you a have easy accessibility towards the compartment and get it styled in a manner wherein you can reach easily. The side walls of a false ceiling are one of the best places.

Apartment safetyA false wall:

One can make a hollow wall in their room and make it look like the other walls. This space is suitable for storing your valuable items.

A child’s room:

This is one of the best places to store your valuable items. Since children rarely have money with them except toys, you can think of creative ideas and store your valuable items in your child’s room. Make small compartments in the wall or in the ceiling to keep your money and jewellery.

Few other terrific ideas where one can store their valuables:

  • Fake return air vents.
  • Fake drains.
  • Fake electrical outlets.
  • An empty box of frozen food.
  • Under the drawers of a bureau.
  • Folded and wrapped in a tin foil in the freezer.
  • In an attic or a cluttered spare room.
  • Separate the insides of a spare monitor or TV and store your money or keepsakes inside.
  • Phony books/bookcases.
  • Couch cushions.
  • In kitchen jars and cartons.
