With more and more urbanisation taking place in all the cities in India, people are craving to invest in properties with natural settings. One such natural aspect which property buyers are looking for in cities is the lakes. Bangalore is one such city which has lakes and these lakes are fetching the property dealers an extra chunk of money as the property buyers are attracted towards the city’s physical feature.
The properties which are located within the vicinity of the lakes are commanding higher prices and the reason being the changed lifestyle and priorities of investors. The same is followed with properties within the vicinity of a park as well. Talking about Bangalore, the city was known for its lakes and parks but eventually the lakes are shrunk due to the various developments.
Realtors today have realised that a property located within the vicinity of lakes and parks will fetch greater price and hence the lakes should be rejuvenated.
Although the realtors are environmentalists but they are really bothered about the shrinking of lakes as this would hamper their business. For a better and healthy lifestyle, the BBMP is also taking efforts to rejuvenate the lake and curb lake shrinking. Various organisations have come forward with their initiative to save lakes in Bangalore and have made citizens aware by forming a group. The study shows that there are more than 3,000 apartments and homes surrounding lakes and the organisation are also receiving donations from other countries to save the lakes.
Various precautionary measures like stopping the sewage water from entering the lakes, planting of trees and hiring volunteers to supervise and promote awareness about the lake conservation has been taken. With quite many efforts out towards the conservation of lake, the residents today feast their eyes on more than 50 odd bird species which visit the lakes in the city.
There are also various other commercial properties which offer lake views apart from just residential ones. The apartments which face the lake are priced at premium rates. Each day there are various organisations coming up to save the lakes in the city. Regular meetings and campaigns are carried out in order to make people aware about the lake preservation.
Measures like building up of fences, strict maintenance, new projects and other such activities have been carried out for a better lifestyle. Various lake surveys are also taken place by higher senior authorities as well. This eventually has benefited more than 15,000 residents of the surrounding areas.
