How to make an easy Christmas Santa Star?
Christmas star or Star of Bethlehem is the main attraction of the Christmas decoration. You can make Christmas stars using different materials like paper, cardboard, cloth or wool knitting. The main attraction of the decor is how creative you go in making the Christmas star. Santa Star is a Christmas star ornament and can be made in several sizes. Below are the steps to make a simple Santa Christmas star.
Materials Required
- Red and black Card stock or pasteboard
- cotton balls for beard and fur
- Scissors (Adult supervision needed if kids handling them)
- Small Colored paper for face
- small yellow or gold colored paper for buckle
- small wiggle eyes
- Black ribbon belt
- cord
- Print out or traced 5 pointed star shape
How to make Santa Star?

- Take the Red Card stock and trace the 5 pointed star shape on it and carefully cut the outline so you get a five pointed red star.
- Take the small colored paper for face and carefully cut them in “U” shape.
- Glue it in place.
- Now glue the wiggle eyes, from the leftover of red card-stock cut small round for nose and heart shape for lips and clue them.
- Cut the black Card stock in small triangle shape and glue them as Santa’s boots.
- Glue Black ribbon belt at the center of the star and cut the gold colored paper for buckle glue them on the center of ribbon belt.
- Cut the black card leftover in small round and glue them as button.
- Carefully glue the cotton as mustache, eyebrows, beard and as fur for hand and legs.
- Make a hanger loop from the cord and glue on the top point of the star.
- Now your Santa Star is ready.
You can make similar Santa Star in various size and make a wall hanging or hanging on the Christmas tree.
