Hanging baskets with plastic bottles
- Choose a bottle depending on the type of plant that is to be grown.
- Creatively cut the bottle to place the plant in the bottle, you can use a sharp knife to cut the bottle so that every side is even.
- Pierce small holes with the help of nails in the bottom of the bottle so that excess water can pass out through it.
- You can also make the basket by cutting the top of the bottle and placing the plant in the bottle.
- On every side, cut a hole with the knife measuring from half to one inch (4 holes in total).
- Cut four twines according to the measurement of the hanger you require.
- Then thread each of the twines through each of the holes and knot each twine off on the outside.
- Again, tie the ends into a knot and make it adequately tight for hanging so that it doesn’t fall off.
- Decorate the containers by the help of colored papers, ribbons, beads and so on.
Your hanging basket is now complete and ready to use!
Making hanging basket using Old plastic containers
Old plastic containers can be transformed very effectively into hanging baskets. The process remains all the same here too.
Cut the plastic container at the top evenly and again pierce with nails for drainage.
- Cut 4 holes of half inches and thread twines through each of them.
- Knot them so that they can be hung up.
- Then decorate the pots with the help of hot sticky glue so that they do not come off when water passes through them.
- In addition, cover the containers with a layer of concrete mixture and put and small colored stones and shells into it to harden the decoration of the container.

Plants such as herbs, small flowering plants, and vegetable plants can be grown with ease. Generally, fruits like strawberries, blackberries and raspberries and decorative plants like money plants are also grown in these baskets.
