Bapulapadu expected to be developed as Seemandhra’s IT City
Bapulapadu is a remote village located at Hanuman Junction, about 40 km from Vijayawada and about 18 km from Eluru, along the Vijayawada-Eluru Road. It is a mandal in the Krishna district of the proposed state of Seemandhara which consists of 30 villages. As per feelers received from sources, Bapulapadu is expected to be developed as the Cyberabad of Seemandhara.
Connectivity:
Bapulapadu is well connected to other areas across the state through two major roads. While the Vijayawada Road (NH-5, AH-45) criss-crosses the area, the Gudivada Road and the Nuziveedu Road passes through its eastern fringe. APSRTC buses ply along these major roads, with many bus stops dotting important destinations. The nearest railway station from the area is the Nuzvid railway station, located about 5 km away. The nearest airport from Bapulapadu is the Gannavaram airport, located about 24 km away.
Social Infrastructure:
Even though Bapulapadu is a sleepy hamlet tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Vijayawada, it still has many good infrastructure facilities. Some of the prestigious schools in the area are Sri Chaitanya School, ICM School, Viswa Kavi Public School, Siddhartha Vidyalaya and ZP High School, among others. Some of the reputed colleges in the vicinity are Dharma Appa Rao College, Sri Siddhartha Pharmacy College, Sri Siddhartha Degree College of Science & Computers, Sri Sarada Degree College, St.Ann’s Junior College and Nova Degree College, among others. There are also some important hospitals in the area like Srijana Hospital, Janatha Hospital, Sailaja Hospital and Dr. Raghava Rao Hospital, among others. Besides, there are also many other prominent facilities like banks, shopping centers and restaurants, among others, in the vicinity.
Project Proposal:
It is expected that this will be a key project for Seemandhara, Mr.Chandrababu Naidu will take up once he is sworn in on June 8th. While concrete plans are already in place for the project, while the initial processes such as Expression of Interest (EOI) starts after the swearing-in of the CM. Once the major players associated with the project are identified, it is expected that construction on the project would commence within three to six months. Most of the major construction companies are gearing up to grab the opportunity to be entrusted with this prestigious project.
Development Prospects:
Bapulapadu has vast expanses of vacant land that can be utilised for large-scale development purposes. Incidentally, there are more than 1000 acres of forest and government land that can be employed to develop the new ‘Cyber’ city at Bapulapadu. According to reliable sources, this land is expected to be developed into a hi-tech city of global standards, housing offices of prominent IT/ITeS companies. Besides, there will also be emphasis on the development of connecting roads as well as social and physical infrastructure.
Real Estate Impact:
There could be considerable focus on the development of commercial as well as residential infrastructure as part of the project. Due to the proximity of Bapulapadu to the Gannavaram airport, it is expected that the corridor between Bapulapadu and the airport could come in for a major face-lift. Areas surrounding the IT hubs could be expected to undergo considerable development in residential as well as commercial realty terms. Further, it could give a major impetus to areas in the vicinity as well which could command good residential values in course of time.
