Q3 2015 in a Nutshell
•With 80 per cent new units supply, South Chennai retained number one position in Q3 2015, followed by West Chennai with about 10 per cent.
•All three segments – affordable, mid and luxury – are evenly distributed in Chennai in the range of 30-40 per cent. Interestingly, in the previous quarter (Q2 2015), over 45 per cent projects comprised of properties in the mid segment alone.
•Old Mahabalipuram Road and Perumbakkam have become established residential destinations with more resale inventory and good rental yield. Emerging markets such as Kovilambakkam and Jafferkhanpet have good number of residential new launches.
