DDA Housing Scheme 2019 Quick Facts:

  • In August, Over 3,000 allottees surrendered 1BHK DDA Narela flats. The DDA authority found it difficult to get buyers for its flats in Narela, even after offering them multiple times due to its location. It is far away from the heart of the city and also there is an acute shortage of public transport. In earlier housing schemes many allottees have complained about the small size of flats.
  • In August, The DDA has planned to refund the registration amount of the unsuccessful candidates within a week for DDA Housing Scheme 2019 for which draw was held on 23rd July.
  • In July 2019, after a 34-year long wait, the DDA finally allotted flats to 19,000 registrants who applied in 1985 for EWS flats. The cost of these flats was valued at Rs 12.5 lakh each. All the registrants had given 3-month time to deposit the amount and possession will be given after the payment made.
  • On 23rd July 2019, the DDA has held a draw of lots for allotment of 10,294 flats under the DDA Housing Scheme 2019 fo which more than 50,000 applicants have been applied.
  • By July end of 2019, the DDA had conducted an online survey under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) – Housing For All (U) in order to access the needs of the capital city.
