Fretting On How To Remove Stains From Fabric At Your Home? Here’s how

You have just bought a newproperty in India which is well furnished and carpeted. Just when you are enthusiastic about residing in your new apartment, you witness obnoxious stains created by your kids on the carpet and the curtains. You go irate glancing at the stains and think of getting rid of those stains. Various houses comprise of various stained objects ranging from oil stain, blood, lipstick, rust, wine, ink and many other stains. One has to be very careful in order to remove any kind of a stain.

Here are some steps as to how one can get rid of various stains in and around your house.

Always blot or tamp the stain, do not rub the stains on the fabric as it damages the fabric and makes the stain even more prominent.

Another way to remove stains is to mix the laundry soap with warm water and stir it till the formation of the froth. Apply the same with a sponge on the stained upholstery and blot it. Rinse it with cold water to clean the fabric. Also make sure that any fresh stain can be easily removed if one tries removing the stain immediately.

A nail polish stain can be removed from the carpet by scraping the nail polish to the maximum and applying amyl acetate( a colorless to pale yellow liquid) and cover it with a pad soaked in amyl acetate. Wash it thoroughly after 15 minutes to see a positive result.

A blood stain can be removed through the usage of club soda, ice cube, cold water or hydrogen peroxide.

A stain from a fabric can be removed by washing the fabric in warm water and laundering it or by rubbing the stain with rubbing alcohol.

A lipstick stain from your fabrics can be removed by blotting the fabric with a baby wipe soaked in rubbing alcohol.

An oil stain can be removed from your fabrics by covering them with talcum or baby powder and let it remain for at least 30 minutes and later wash it off with hot water.

Every house experiences an ink stained fabric, in such cases one can clean the stain with a cotton ball dipped in rubbing alcohol.

A fabric with a felt tip marker stain can be removed by placing the stained fabric on a paper towel. Dab the fabric with a cotton ball dipped in rubbing alcohol and continue doing this action till the colour shifts itself on the paper towel.

A ball point stain on your fabric can be removed by using a hair spray.

A chocolate stain on your fabric can be removed by using a detergent, vinegar or ammonia.

Similarly, stains of coffee, tomato sauce and wine can be removed by using a mild detergent along with vinegar or hydrogen peroxide.

A chewing gum and a paint stain on your fabric can be easily removed by using a mild detergent or bleach.
