In NCR Regional Plan-2001, two areas Surjapur and Kasna were identified in Greater Noida. It is proposed in the plan that these two regions will be developed to accommodate 1.5 lakh population each. NCR Regional Plan-2021 was approved on 17th Sept 2005. In this plan, Greater Noida is identified as ‘Metro Centre’ and is delineated in the ‘Rest of NCR’ zone.
