How To Arrange Your Wardrobe?
An artistic room filled with well-designed furniture, but has an ugly sight of unarranged clothes strewn all over your room, this would turn anyone off. A room can be kept neat by arranging your wardrobe/ closet in an organized manner. Different attires are worn on different occasions;
Perhaps this is a unique challenge, as a wardrobe contains an array of clothes ranging from shapes, sizes, colours, seasonal particulars and so on. In order to assemble all these in place for an elongated time, one might need to plan on how to go about it. One may also require extra help depending on the types of attires. Here are a few steps on how to go about it;
Segregate: You can arrange your attires and accessories in your desired way. But first you need to segregate the contents based on the type, colour, material and other aspects.
Wardrobe Zones: Be precise about how to arrange your attires based on their usage. Place the ones which you need every day on a medium level rod, the ones which you wear occasionally on a high held rod and the ones which you wear rarely can be folded and kept on top.
Discard: Discard every attire and accessory which you do not use and are outgrown. Doing this will make your wardrobe more spacious and organized. You can either pile all the discarded items in a corner or donate them.
Get the faultless hanger. Make sure you use just one type of a hanger; it can be either a wood hanger, plastic hanger or wire hanger. Doing this will make your wardrobe look much systematized.
Formal attires: Arrange all these type of clothing in a pile and set them aside. You can either arrange them if you have a small wardrobe or hang them in a hanger if you have a spacious one. Arranging them according to their colours would make it even more appealing and convenient.
Occasional attires: Put them separately in a hanger at a place in your wardrobe where you think you wouldn’t fiddle every day. This will keep your expensive and elite apparels safe and neat. Put all those fragile lacy attires and accessories in a separate rack.
Small containers: Shopping for small containers to store your accessories and garments is a worthy idea. You can even use chocolate boxes, small cartons if you have any. Arrange all your cosmetics, jewellery, cleansing products, bathroom products and others in separate boxes. If you do not prefer boxes, you can always go in for small nails or hanging magnets to hang your jewellery. One can also buy plastic baskets to store various accessories like belts, scarves, ties and others. Place all the other garments like socks, towels and more in a separate small rack.
For those expensive attires: If you’re worried about your expensive apparels like suits, gowns, and embroided sarees, you can always buy a garment bag to store them in. Garment bags are available in any attire shop and protect your clothing from wrinkling, especially a leather attire as this will crack or make the leather more dry.
Be prompt after dry cleaning: Once you get your clothes dry cleaned, make sure you arrange them in hangers immediately.
Labelling your shelves: One can always label your shelves with the appropriate tags in order to avoid the mixing up of attires and accessories.
Important steps: Always keep in mind that once you have organized your wardrobe, do not pull out the heap of clothes in a hurry and leave it scattered. This will make your task even more difficult later.
