How to choose the right locality?
It is the festive season and the perfect time for you to search for a home for yourself and your family. Let’s say you are a happily married couple. Come Diwali and you are looking for a nice house to settle into at this auspicious moment. Now, the question you would be asking yourself is how are you going to choose where to buy the house?
Location:
You need to consider the distance from your workplace and those of other members as well as from their children’s schools. If the travel time for any member of the family is beyond 45 minutes, or the distance is more than 7-8 kms, then it is likely to affect family life adversely.
You have to take into consideration things like walking distance from your house to the bus stop or the Metro station, time required to shift modes of transportation, etc.
Connectivity:
There may be plans for a Metro line or an expressway leading way to forthcoming destinations. Keep a track of the area’s master plans. By purchasing a house close to the planned project, you can reduce your travelling time and increase the prospect of appreciation of your property’s value in future.
Social infrastructure:

Find out things affecting your immediate requirements – how far away is the nearest market place? where you will buy your daily necessities? how far is the bigger markets? what is the quality of schools in the neighbourhood? what are the prospect of entertainment in the vicinity, i.e. presence of movie theatre?

Also find out about the other necessities like hospitals in the locality and the crime rate of the area in the recent times before choosing the locality.
