How to keep your child safe in parking lots?

Parking lot is an area where vehicles keep moving, be it the parking lot of a building, a shopping mall or any other place. Children don’t understand the danger lurking in a parking lot. It is very important for you to look after your child safety.

Here are few tips for the safety of your children in the parking lot:

Hold your Child’s Hand:Always hold your child’s hand while you are in parking lot. Do not let your child slip from your grip and run around the area, as there are cars coming and going. Never let your child alone in the car or around the car.

Keep an eye on your child:While you are busy loading or unloading something from your car, make your child hold or keep a hand on the door of the car and keep an eye on him/her always. Do not get distracted by cell phone or any other thing.

Use a Pram: If your child never stays at one place and doesn’t hold your hands, it is better to use pram while going somewhere. Your child will remain safely seated in the pram while you are in the parking lot.

Teach your child to be careful:Teach your child that the car can hurt them. They should never walk in front of a moving car and play around the parking area. Tell them how a car can suddenly start moving and the driver may not see them. Tell them to stay with you.

Look after the safety of Other Kids: Along with your child, safety of other’s children is equally important. Before getting in your car, make sure there are no kids near your car. Keep an eye on other kids while maneuvering through the parking lot. Gadgets like rear-view cameras and sensors to detect any object or person close to the car can be used for the safety of kids.
