Hyderabad: Upsurge in Sale Property Inquiries in Q3 2014
Hyderabad has witnessed a growing demand for residential Sale property in the last six to eight months, especially after the Telangana issue was resolved. Based on CommonFloor data, it has been observed that the proportion of inquiries for Sale (primarily apartments) properties increased significantly in Q3 2014 compared to previous quarters.
Analysis of trend
According to data, the number of inquiries for Sale property in Hyderabad, after an initial increase between Q4 2013 and Q1 2014, dipped in the subsequent quarter (Q2 2014). This can be attributed to the uncertainty in the realty sector of the city following the bifurcation of the State due to which there were apprehensions among prospective buyers. However, the number of Sale inquiries took an upturn in Q3 2013 due to the installation of a stable government in Telangana and favourable investment climate that prevailed.
Figure 1 indicates the proportion of residential Sale inquiries after an initial decline between Q1 2014 and Q2 2014. Queries for properties has begun to surge ahead in Q3 2014.
