Ideas for backsplash
The kitchen backsplash is placed on the kitchen wall between the countertops and the wall cabinets. It is meant to protect the walls, especially the zones very close to you sink, stove; places where you cook and prepare food from staining.
Your backsplash will stain, but the materials from which is made, are in general very easy to clean and maintain.
This is a far better option than just a bare painted wall, not to mention the backsplash aesthetic value.
With colours, pattern or textures, your backsplash will improve the visual appeal of your kitchen, without difficulty and at a reasonable price. Commonfloor brings you our top looks for the season.

We love this dramatic approach to the backsplash – eye-catching stacked pebbles fit wonderfully in the natural lakeside style of this kitchen. Keep it real, keep it natural

Ceramic tile
Ceramic tile is a classic choice for a backsplash; you can mix and match any number of finishes, colours, and patterns to suit your space. Here, a lively yellow tile is paired with a complementary patterned border tile.

Mosaic magic
One of my favorites – a backsplash in shimmering mosaic tiles adds a splash of style this breezy kitchen. The small scale of the tiles adds a subtle texture, while a random pattern of beige, cream, and blue recalls the colours of surf and sand. Two bands of narrow light blue tiles separate the backsplash into three segments, preventing the tiny tiles from overwhelming the space.

If you have wood cabinets in your kitchen, use their finish or stain as a starting point for choosing a backsplash colour. The orange undertones of these high-gloss, modern-style cabinets are drawn out in the orange-base mosaic tiles in the backsplash. Variegated hues and a mix of darker and more saturated orange tiles add just the right amount of contrast. For a thoroughly modern spin, rectangles of silvery-gray tiles punctuate the backsplash.
