John Abraham’s sea-facing home in Mumbai
John Abraham opt for a clean cut and spacious room
Apart from creating a stir in Bollywood as an actor, John Abraham also has contributed a fragment in the real estate trends by possessing a unique home. His chic apartment which is situated in Mumbai gives a new definition of style through its interiors and designs. Each room of his apartment is finely planned and designed along with the apt furniture and accessories.
Although his apartment looks simple, the actor believes in functionality of his home rather than adding extra glamour. Adding on to the uniqueness of his home, were his father and brother who are practising architects and a photographer. They planned the remodelling of his home in a presentable manner along with the apt décor and interiors. The actor always wanted a free flowing home which gives a clear idea about the person owning it. Let’s know more about his graceful residence in detail.
The location of John Abraham home
The duplex apartment of which two floors are owned by John Abraham is located in Mumbai near the Arabian Sea and has a clear view of it. It has an area of 5000 sqft and is covered by either the Arabian Sea or lush green trees on both the sides.
The structure of John Abraham’s home
The renovated apartment has two floors which has interconnecting cantilevered stairs and depicts an easy flowing image. These interconnecting stairs lead to the dining and living areas which is an entertainment centre. The apartment has small rooms unlike other paparazzi residences. It has a single bedroom along with flow of other rooms. The rooms are constructed strictly without any divisions to other rooms. The balcony gives a clear view of the sea and the entire home is designed with three materials like glass, wood and greenery to give a feel and look of nature. These aspects of the home give a positive flow of the energy all over. Like any other home, this residence is not a compact piece and the view from every room is easily available since each room is separated only with glass, even the bathroom. Although the apartment has glass walls, it is skilfully created to offer the actor his privacy. This factor gives the sense of freedom to the person owning it. The terrace consists of the media room which has a home theatre system with a 130 inch projector system.
The interiors of the home
As mentioned earlier, the interiors of the home are created with glass, wood and trees mostly. Most of the doors all over the home are created out of glass which gives the home a clear look. Unlike other homes this place is not crowded with too much of furniture and embellishments; it is planned in an apt manner and arranged accordingly. The walls all over the home are bare and unnecessary portraits and pictures are not hung. The home has an earthy and warm ambiance and functionality is the key factor.
The lighting is not flashy; instead simple lights are installed in places to accentuate the features. Also the lights are automated and can be changed according to the moods. To sum it up, the home basically has a crystal clear view from all the directions and is space free. The bathroom has a Jacuzzi and the single bedroom consists of a small wardrobe along with a sprinkle of furniture. The fittings and fixtures were used from brands like ABB, Paola Lenti, Genelec and others. Most of the furniture in his home consists of customised objects along with a deck lounge chair and a bedroom lounge chair. Talking about the windows, the double glazed glass was imported and this is the first time this type of glass is used in India. The windows are protected by automated fabric roller blinds.
Efforts behind creating his home
The entire home was renovated in 14 months into a sleek residence with two labourers working on it. Careful shopping was done in order to pick up things related to décor, upholstery and bathroom accessories.
