Kochi offers many affordable apartment options
Capital values of residential accommodation are steadily appreciating across most areas in Kochi. In such a scenario, it is scarce to find residential apartments within an affordable budget between Rs 10-30 lakh. However, based on CommonFloor listing data, it can be seen that there are many residential areas where apartments are available in this budget range. These include some prominent residential areas like Kakkanad, Edapally, Tripunithura, Aluva and Kaloor, most of these located along the north-eastern corridors of the city.
Kakkanad
Kakkanad is located about 17 km north-east of the heart of Kochi via the NH-47. As per data listed with CommonFloor, Kakkanad has the most number of affordable apartments in the city. It accounts for about 25 per cent of the total number of apartments in the 10-30 lakh price range. Among these, about 42 per cent are 2 BHK units while about 31 per cent are 1 BHK units.
