Jharkhand RERA:
The final RERA Act were passed in Jharkhand on 18 May 2017. They came into force on the date of their publication in the official gazette. The government of Jharkhand established “Jharkhand Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Rules, 2017 (Central Act of 2016). These rules shall apply to the whole state of Jharkhand.
Jharkhand Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Act, 2017 is aimed to assure answerability towards allottees and protect their interest; introduce transparency, assure fair-play and overcome frauds and delays; add professionalism and pan India uniformity; set stability of information between the promoter and allottee; imposing specific responsibilities on both promoter and allottees; establish regulatory impression mechanism to execute agreements; place fast-track dispute analysis mechanism; enhance good governance in the sector which in turn would build investor confidence.
Arun Kumar Singh, Secretary, Urban Development, Jharkhand is serving as an interim regulatory authority in the absence of a permanent regulator.
As of now, 30 real estate projects, 43 developers, and 66 real estate agents have been registered under Jharkhand RERA.
