Maharashtra govt simplifies conversion of agricultural land
Maharashtra government has simplified the process of conversion of agricultural land authorizing local civic authorities to decide on it. The move will boost realty in the state and bring in a huge relief to entrepreneurs planning to set up an industry in the state. Revenue Minister Eknath Khadse said a Government Resolution to this effect was issued and it has made it mandatory for revenue officials to furnish the land details within 30 days of receiving an application.
For setting up an industry, applicant can now apply for information on reservations to panel headed by the additional collector and set up an industry. There is no NOC required from any department for the same. Once the industry has been set up, applicant can intimate tehsildar and official would grant deed within 60 days.
Minister Khadse warned that disciplinary action can be initiated if any officials are not complying by the rules or informing about the category within a month of the application. He also said that a data bank and a special desk will be set up to issue NOC.
