New Building Approval System in Telangana To Be Implemented From June
In a recent announcement, the Telangana State Building Permission Approval and Self-Certification System (TS-bPass), which would allow a citizen to construct a house through self-certification if the dwelling is to be built within 75 square yards, would be executed across the State from the first week of June 2020.

KT Rama Rao, Municipal Administration Minister, Telangana held a review meeting with municipal authorities and asked them to make arrangements for the implementation of fast and hassle-free approval of building permissions across the State.
The review meeting was also attended by Hyderabad Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, MAUD Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar, and CDMA Director N Satyanarayana.
MAUD minister KT Rama Rao said that the State government will implement the Telangana State Building Permissions and Self Certification System (TS-bPass) from the first week of June. The TS-bPass would enable a citizen to construct a house through self-certification if the dwelling is to be built within 75 square yards.
As notified by KT Rama Rao, the online mechanism shall be applicable in 87 municipalities on a trial basis. The Minister also informed that they had received over 1,000 applications so far and a couple of buildings have received the building permission already.
The new TS-bPass system is in line with the TS-iPass that will speed-up building approvals in the State with minimum documentation and human intervention.
The minister expressed happiness over the present software system used for the approval system. He further directed the municipal officials to upgrade the necessary infrastructure and provide training to the employees on the same. The employees have been asked to work towards providing online approvals, once the system is put into place.
Apart from offline registrations, the Minister has asked the officials to arrange a meeting within two days with Collectors, revenue, and town planning officials to provide several options to the citizens for submitting their applications, including Mee Seva Citizen Service Centres and other Mobile Apps. A call center will also be set-up to address the concerns of the masses.
