Telangana 2 BHK Housing Scheme
2 BHK Housing Scheme was introduced by the Telangana government to serve the residents of Telangana who don’t have homes or those who reside in huts or rented homes. The main intention of this housing scheme is to provide homes for the lower-income groups of Telangana. Telangana government says that this is a revolutionary step to form Hyderabad as a slum-free city.
This housing scheme will be one of the best among the most prestigious housing projects that are taken up in Asia. The state government had licensed developers to take up projects under this scheme. The government had decided to reduce the deposit to 1% from 3% to speed up the construction work. The state government also decided that they will provide free sand to all the contractors who participate in this scheme. The construction of toilets under this housing scheme will be constructed with the funds granted from the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) and the Swacch Bharat Mission.
These homes are created with water facilities, electricity, emptying systems, etc. to create a comfortable lifestyle for the residents. In addition to this, park, school, library, fire station, bus stops will be present in each block. The homes even have 2 spacious lofts. These reasonable 2BHK houses are in-built places in Adilabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahboobnagar, Medak, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, and Warangal. The district collectors, govt administrators and the GHMC commissioner will work with the director of Telangana State Housing Corporation. Flats priced between Rs. 5 lakhs and Rs. 8.65 lakhs are given free of cost. 2.8 lakh units are taken up for construction by the housing department.
Telangana 2 BHK Housing Scheme Merge with PMAY:
The main intention to merge this scheme with PMAY is to obtain funds for the construction. The single unit under 2 BHK will cost around Rs. 5.30 lakhs. After merging 2 BHK housing schemes with PMAY, Telangana Government will have to spend Rs. 3.80 lakhs per unit. The state govt. will raise Rs. 2,500 crore from Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO), Rs. 1,365 crores from PMAY funds and Rs. 185 crores from the state’s revenue. To date, govt. has spent Rs. 6,792 crore on 2BHK Housing Scheme in Telangana while the total developed space is 7 lakh sq.ft.
You will be eligible and qualified to use for this scheme if you fulfill the below needs and conditions:
If your family is below the poverty line (BPL) and if you have got a legitimate food security card (FSC)
Attach the FSC reference range within the form. People who have a valid BPL identity card are eligible and certain to use for the housing theme.
The two BHK house is going to be approved and sanctioned with the name of the woman of the family.

You can apply only if you reside ina hut or rented house. Your family should not have a concrete house
The details of your current residence can assist the govt officers to know if you reside in a concrete house, owned house, or a hut.

How to apply for the two BHK Housing Scheme:
Visit any of the MeeSeva centers around Telangana and submit the application with enclosed copies of address proof, identity card, Aadhaar card, Aasara Pension Card.
Complete the application form by filling in your details, family details, income details, Aadhaar card range, address proof, signaling, and details of your own house.
Current status:
Cost and evacuation-related problems have led to the slow down of the work. 1.23 lakh homes have been completed to date. About 55,764 units are under construction while 32,008 are now fit for possession. Another 91,306 units are receiving the last touch-ups.

Procedure to fill the applying type for two BHK Houses:
- Get the application form from MeeSeva center and fill within the FSC Reference range. Then add the name and details of the relations.
- Enter the Aadhaar card range.
