There are several areas in Thane that are witnessing a good number of project launches. Ghodbunder Road in specific is one such area which witnesses a good number of apartment launches every year. Ghodbunder Road is sometimes also called State Highway (SH) 42. The entire stretch is just beyond Mumbai suburbs. It starts from beyond Dahisar and Mira Bhayander in western Mumbai and extends up to Manpada in Thane West. The 20 km stretch connects the Western Express Highway (WEH) to the Eastern Express Highway (EEH) in Mumbai. The road also connects Navi Mumbai to Thane and suburban Mumbai. There are several flyovers on this stretch that improve accessibility to different areas.
The area can be easily accessed by regular buses. The Mumbai International Airport is about 23.5 km away and can be reached via EEH. The Thane railway station is about 17 km away from the area. However, it is now witnessing some improvements in terms of connectivity. The Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation Ltd (MRVCL) is working on completing the Virar-Vasai-Diva-Panvel suburban corridor, which will connect the extremes of Panvel and Vasai-Virar, via Diva. This was followed by Ghodbunder Road, which witnessed apartment launches (about 2,020 units), which comprise of 1, 2 and 3BHK apartments with approximate built area of about 670-690 sq. ft. (1BHK), 900-990 sq. ft. (2BHK) and 1,250 sq. ft. (3BHK).
