Games and Activities for Mother’s Day

Skits: Children, teenagers or even adults can organize skits or plays as a program for the day. The theme can be woven around mother and child, or family. Divide the participating mothers and children as two teams. The game conductor may ask mothers to leave the room and ask children some questions. It can be about their favorites (any), unforgettable events etc. Note down their answers. Then call the mothers too to the stage. Ask them the same questions about their children. The mother who answers all correct, or who scores higher can be awarded as the ‘Best Mother of the Community.

If it is a small community, you can also surprise mothers by throwing a tea party with home baked cakes and cookies. All the youngsters in the community can do some secret cooking and share it with everyone as a surprise.

You can do it personally or gift exchange can be made as part of the event. Keep it as a secret till the wind up session. While buying gifts for your mother always think about her favorites or something she longs for. It can be a saree of her favorite color, a kitchen appliance she much desired, a beauty care kit, or a surprise ticket for all mothers for the coming weekend.
