Tips to clean old chairs in your apartment
Most of us willingly invest in old chairs to create a vintage ambiance and inherit them as family heirlooms. It so happens that antique old chairs are ignored due to its mold development, while the contemporary sleek designed chairs are greatly accepted.
If you fancy getting those old chairs out of your basement without having any respiratory problems caused by the molds, follow the below tips;
1. Make a homemade cleaning mixture of warm water and an antibacterial detergent. Add required amount of detergent to the water and use a sponge or a soft cloth to clean the chair.
2. Before you clean the chair with water, scrape away the dirt and dust from the chair. For a wooden chair avoid using too much of any sort of a liquid as this can spoil the lumber in the long run. Ensure that the cracks and the divots are carefully cleaned with the solution.
3. Once you have finished cleaning the chair with the solution, wipe it with a thick, lint free towel. You can also place it in the sunlight to get rid of the molds.
4. You can also use a mixture of water and white vinegar after cleaning the chair. Doing this will help you get rid of the mold, mold spores and its growth.
5. Once it is dry, place the chair in a suitable place away from any pointed or destructive objects.
