If you have planned for a holiday cocktail party, reflect sparkle, glitter and shine. All you need to do is decide on a date, send out invitations and get ready to zest it up! Here are some tips;

The apt decor:

It is very important that you create a dramatic and an easy centerpiece on your dining table by filling three different-sized clear vases among which one of the vases should be taller. Embed them with spare or decorative ornaments. Ensure that the vases have different color scheme like red and silver, green and silver and gold and silver. Further, decorate the vases with colorful flowers and crystal stones.

The cutlery/tableware:

You need not fret about purchasing expensive cutlery/crockery to serve your guests. Purchase either the use and throw paper ware or buy inexpensive colored chargers and arrange the plates on top of them. Also if you have been longing to use your chinaware, you can load a three-tiered tray with them. Also have a silk holly branch or mistletoe to the tier. Try buying your crockery on a wholesale basis as this will cost you less. Ensure that you have apt champagne and wine glasses.

Holiday partyTo tap your feet:

Try playing tracks of your guests’ choices. Have some serious, classic nostalgic songs being played at the cocktail party. Also you can have a karaoke session with your guests, this will allow you interact more with your guests.

Cocktails:

Since the party is based on cocktails, you should ensure that your apartment is well stocked or you have a suitable bar. Opt for seasonal cocktails, holiday cocktails, champagnes and non-alcoholic drinks. Refer books or internet on how to mix the cocktail. The best would be a refreshing green-colored cucumber cocktail, accented with lime and mint.

To gorge on:

Check with your guests about their likes and dislikes before creating the menu. Have 4-5 starters, 2-3 main courses and 3-4 desserts. One should have both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. Here are some suggestions;
