Trimulgherry also called by its pseudo names of Thirmulgherry and Tirumalagiri is counted among the major suburbs of Hyderabad. Located to the north of Hyderabad, Trimulgherry is the anglicised version for Tirumalagiri.
The suburb is comprised of numerous smaller residential townships. Adjacent suburbs such as AOC center and Karkhana are often considered as a part of Trimulgherry. Since the last fifteen years, the suburb has transformed itself into a prominent residential area within the twin cities. A multitude of flourishing apartments, colonies and townships have been established in this suburb. The small lake called the Hasmathpet lake provides suffecient water for the locality.

Projects in Trimulgherry were launched within the affordable luxury range. Trimulgherry has predominantly been witnessing the development of villa projects within the price band ranging from Rs. 50 lac per unit to 1.25 crore per unit. Value housing projects within Trimulgherry failed to incite the desired response. Over the period of the last twelve months, the sales figure have been in a slump and the trend is expected to continue in the future months. However, in accordance with realty experts the segment of Value housing is expected to firm up over the period of this fiscal. The projects have also focused on improving both the social and physical infrastructure within the locality which facilitates people in terms of basic facilities.

Connectivity:
This suburb is well connected with roads. The Rajiv Rahadari (Highway) which connects Secunderabad to the northern Telangana districts of Andhra Pradesh passes through this suburb.
National Highway 7 (NH7) is 4 km from this suburb. There is a link road that connects NH 7 to ECIL crossroads and further and it passes through this suburb. This junction has become one of the major intersections in the twin cities. A lot of transportation through trucks takes place via this road. Due to this there is a lot of traffic congestion during peak hours.
Rajiv Gandhi International Airport which is located at Shamshabad, is at a distance of 35 kilometers from Trimulgherry via the Srisailam Highway. It is a good one hour drive. The Kacheguda Railway Station located at Kachiguda, is at a distance of 13 kilometers from Trimulgherry via Gandhi Nagar Road. The drive can be covered within half an hour.
Social Infrastructure:
Some notable schools located within this suburb are Delhi Public School, Gowtham Model School, Holy Family Girls High School, Kendriya Vidyalaya, New Ushodaya High School (Subhash Nagar), St Josephs High School, St Andrews School and Sherwood Public School. There are some good colleges situated within this suburb. Notable are Degree College, Ken Degree College, St Josephs Junior College, and Little Flower Junior.
Numerous shops retailing all kinds of goods and services are available within this suburb, especially garment factory outlets. Branded clothes can be purchased at discounted prices here. Due to this, people from various parts of the city come to shop here.
The office of the Transport Department (RTA), is a major landmark. There are numerous national banks such as Bank of Baroda, SBI, SBH, HDFC Bank, ING Vysya, ICICI and Union Bank of India which cater to the growing population of this suburb.
Specialist grocery shops such as Food World and FabIndia are situated here. Rainbow Mall is the most prominent mall. The state government built a huge wholesale vegetables market called as Trimulgherry Market Yard. Movie complexes and malls are being constructed, and the pipeline holds the completion of other infrastructure works as well.
Restaurants specializing in Hyderabadi cuisine such as Biryani Durbar, Hyderabad House and The Pride Residency are situated here. Few restaurants which specialize in Punjabi cuisine are Ganesh Dhaba, Jeet’s Kitchen and Ghungroo Restaurant. There are few upmarket restaurants within this suburb ranging from Chinese, Continental and Indian. There are various fast food joints. McDonald’s, KFC, Cafe Latte, Olives & Cheese, Koffee & Kebabs, Baskin Robbins, Pizza Haven along with a legion of bakeries such as Vacs Pastry and Cake Basket, are few of the other eateries situated within this locality.
The community halls positioned at this locality are popular for weddings as well and parties. These include Teachers CO-Operative Society Community Hall (Teachers Colony), SMR Jayalaxmi Gardens (RTC Colony), Anubhav Gardens (Hanuman Temple near RTA), Modern Function Plaza (Lalbazar) and Mahatma Gandhi Community Hall (Main Rd Lalbazar).

Public Transport:
Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) operates numerous buses such as 21, 22N, 23, 24, 25 which ply from Secunderabd Station to Trimulgherry, connecting Trimulgherry with different parts of the city. Other special buses such as 147 etc, ply during the office hours. Additionaly, 24E/31H also stops over at Trimulgherry bus stop.
The MMTS Train station located at Bolarum is the closest MMTS train station which serves Trimulgherry. Peak traffic conditions are usually observed throughout the day. The Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA) is contemplating various plans to ease traffic congestion within the area.
The proposed Metro line between Raj Bhavan and Miyapur will have stations at Dilkushnagar, which is situated about two kilometers from Trimulgherry, has further increased the interest of investors. A well-laid bypass which leads to Trimulgherry is ready and many more connectivity options have also been planned.
Realty Trend:
Within the first quarter of the 2012 fiscal, the upper range value of Trimulgherry was Rs. 3,550 per square feet, the average range value was at Rs. 3,450 per square feet while the Rs. 3,300 per square feet was calculated as the lower range value. Comparatively within the first quarter of 2013, Trimulgherry’s upper range value was Rs. 4,400 per square feet, the average range value was at Rs. 4,200 per square feet while the Rs. 3,950 per square feet was calculated as the lower range value. On the basis of this comparison, the Highest Locality Price of Rs. 4,400 per square feet is up by 4.3 per cent, the Average Locality Price of Rs 4,200 per square feet is up by 6.7 per cent and the Lowest Locality Price at Rs. 3,950 per square feet is also up by 10.2 per cent.
