What to Look When Choosing a Water Purifier?

Choosing a Water PurifierWater, regardless of how clear it may look, can still be tainted so it is necessary to treat whatever water you use in order to stay away from diseases. Because of the overwhelming need for pure water, there are an array of water purifiers available in the market today. But the different brands, prices and models make it a tough job to make a proper choice. When setting out to buy a water purifier, there are some things that you should keep in mind.

Water in your locality: Know the type of water that you get in your locality. You should be able to evaluate the saltiness and level of contamination in the water you get. Depending on the contamination level, you can decide whether the water needs a high level filtration and purification or just a minor cleansing.

Electric water purifier vs non electric water purifier: Most brands of water purifier use electric power to run so if you have uninterrupted electricity in your house then most of the products would work. If you have power issues, then choose a non-electric type of purifier. Reverse Osmosis or UV filtration usually are electric water purifier and ensure continuous safe drinking water. But, electric water purifier need a dedicated space for purification.

RO (Reverse Osmosis) vs UV techniques: RO (Reverse Osmosis) ensures that large particles are removed while UV treatment would take care of all the bacteria and other pathogens in the water.

Mineral Management technology: The water purifier must be having Mineral Management technology since the water we use may have a high concentration of minerals that may prove harmful. MM technology will help the purifier stream the harmful minerals and salts away from the beneficial ones.

Automated water purifiers: Select a water purifier that has enough features to make your work easier. Automated water purifiers are available in the market that saves time and energy. These machines have sensors that will switch off the machine once the required volume of purified water is attained. A timer will also let us know when the purification has stopped.

Eco-friendly components: A good water purifier is made of food grade material and will not have any synthetic dyes or other harmful substances. When purchasing a machine, check the certification for safety and eco-friendliness.

Water purifier that meets your need: A proper purifier should be able to treat all kinds of water, irrespective of soft or hard water. Some purifiers, even while claiming to do so, fail to purify the different types so you should be aware of the quality of the machine you buy.

NSF Certified Water Filters: Water purifiers, like any other machines, experience wear and tear after long use, so check and see whether the machine that you have employs NSF certified parts that are readily available. This makes it easier to replace the parts and ensures well-conditioned function.

Size of Water purifying system: Water purifiers shouldn’t be too bulky and imposing. When installing one in the kitchen or dining area, choose one that is small and compact. Modern kitchens aren’t as big as they used to be, so choose a purifier that would save space and fit snugly in the room. Purchase a purifier that is simple to use. Don’t go for complicated panels that would make leave you struggling to interact with the purifier. Latest models have a touch screen that is easy to follow and understand.
