The locality is approximately thirteen kilometers away from Chennai Central Railway Station and eleven kilometers from Egmore Railway Station via Anna Salai.

The neighbourhood transportation is majorly catered by the Guindy railway station.
Guindy Race Course Bus Stop and the Velacherry Check Post Bus Stop along with BT Department Bus Stops and IIT Madras Main Gate Bus Stop are the main bus stops which service the locality.
The upcoming Guindy Metro Station would considerably increase the accessibility of the area.

The major demand however, is in rental properties than for properties on sale. Price Trends:
The price trends on Guindy have been witnessing various ups and downs. The price per sq. ft. was at Rs 6246 in Oct-Dec 2012 quarter and then price appreciated to Rs 6478 in the quarter of Jan-Mar 2013. In the Apr-June quarter of 2013, the locality price appreciated to Rs 6492 per sq. ft.
The area enjoys good demand due its proximity to important centers of the city and beyond. The price appreciation of this locality in the future might be very good.
