MMR Real Estate Update for Q1 2016
•Although the city is growing towards satellite townships, it is interesting to see that the rental activities are still confined to the central parts (Andheri East, GhatkoparWest, Powai) with a minor footprint at Navi Mumbai (Kharghar).
•New launches have taken a backseat in Q1, 2016 as compared to Q1, 2015. Moreover, majority of the projects launched are catering to the higher economic segments with average price ranging above Rs 8,000 per sq.ft.
•With prevailing space constraints, maximum projects had smaller unit configurations (about 75 per cent had 1 & 2BHK units).
