A penthouse has both advantages and disadvantages.
What is a penthouse?
A penthouse is the uppermost floor of an apartment and is typically differentiated from other apartments by luxury features. Penthouses gained prominence due to the high demand for luxury living in urban areas. In architectural terms, a penthouse refers to a structure on the roof of a building which is set back from the outer walls. They do not occupy the entire roof deck and often are found in high-rise buildings.
The structure of a penthouse:
A penthouse is a symbol of luxury living and consists of high-end appliances, finest material fittings and luxurious flooring system and amenities. Compared to buildings which are primarily single level apartments penthouse apartments have two or more levels. Penthouses can have a swimming pool, a private entrance or elevator, higher/vaulted ceilings, terrace, fireplace, more square footage, over-sized windows, multiple owner suites, garden, office space, jacuzzi, and more. The access to a penthouse apartment is usually provided by a separate elevator and the penthouse resident can have access to a number of building services like laundry, reservations, restaurants and so on.
