Signs That Your Home’s Plumbing Needs Repair!

Every system in house requires regular maintenance to avoid expensive and inconvenient emergency calls for repair or replacement. Plumbing system is one life line of the house systems, since it provides you clean water to perform all the household activities. It is very important to keep the health of the plumbing system in good condition and prevent it from susceptible damage and aging. For that you need to identify the signs of damage or aging of the plumbing system and take the action promptly.

Time To Replace Your Plumbing

The signs to predict if your plumbing system is having problem are as follows:

Dripping of water from faucets even when closed tightly

Every faucet has a rubber or composition washer which is prone to weathering with time and causes leakage. If your faucet is leaking even when you have closed it tightly, you need to replace the waster immediately to prefect the further damage to the faucet or the internal system of the faucet. To prevent the damage to the washer one should turn on and off the faucet gently.

Increase in water bills

This is one indication for the leakage in pipe line. Your water meter will keep on running even if all the taps in the house are closed, and this results in the increased water bill in the end of the month. This leakage from pipe can cause damage to your house. To spot the damage in the pipe line you need to see if some part of your floor is spongy or wet even if nothing has spilled on it  or there is some foul smell coming from the floor or walls in a particular area.
To check the damage occurred in the outdoor areas, check if some unusual plants have grown or you can spot pools of the water from nowhere. Roots of the trees are sometimes culprit of the damage to the pipelines. If you see the similar symptoms in that case contact the plumber rite away to prevent further damage.

Low water pressure

In case you are getting water at low pressure from your faucet, you should contact a professional plumber to evaluate your water supply system. There can be two reasons for this low pressure, one is the mineral or rust deposits in your pipe and the second one is that supply pipes might be undersized for your household plumbing system. The professional plumber will examine the water supply capacity of the main supply and for the fixtures in your house to know where the real problem lies and if you need to replace the whole piping system or a part of it.

Rust stains

If you notice rust strains on the surface of your tubs, toilet bowls or sink, be alert as your plumbing system might be in a trouble. The plumbing system is generally of iron pipes and this might have happened due to the corrosion inside the pipe. This corrosion may lead to a big damage due to leakage if not taken seriously and might need more repair.

Slow drains

If the drainage is slow in one particular fixture that it might be due to the localized clog, but if is happening at all the fixture than it might be the result of mineral deposits or rusting of the pipe. This clogging at all the places is quite dangerous and difficult to detect the main source, so only a professional plumber can locate the location of clogging without creating any type of damage to your house.
