A study space is an important place which every student as well as professional worker needs in order to work peacefully. One needs enough space to settle down, spread all their necessities around and get going with their work. The space chosen as a study space should be suitable for concentration and should be peaceful. It should be free from distractions and should be spacious enough to place your computer as well. One of the easiest ways to get an apt study space is to walk around your home during the busiest hours and chose a place where you will not be distracted.
Few of the requisites required for your study room are a comfortable set of a table and a chair along with appropriate lighting. Ensure that your books, papers, computer and other materials are neatly organised and are in easy reach. Discard everything which you think might distract you. A separate section for the study space:
It is very important that you have a suitable place as your study space. You cannot have a bedroom or any other place as your study space. Opt for a smaller room like an attic or a spare room and create your study space in it. Ensure that you can concentrate well while studying seated in that space.
Appropriate and excess lighting:
Since there are various tasks which one performs in a study space, it is very important that the space is well lit with required amount of light. Avoid too dark or too bright spaces. Avoid doing things in areas which can be harmful for the eyes.
Have proper ventilation:
Apart from just having proper lighting, it is very important that you have proper ventilation in your study space. You can also place your study table near a window. If you have issues by keeping the window open you can always install a mesh to the window and keep the window open for proper ventilation.
Have an appropriate study table:
As mentioned earlier, the study table is one of the important parts of a study space. You should have a study table which can cater to all your needs and should hold enough drawers for you to store things in them. The storage space in and on the study table should accommodate maximum number of things as it will be easier for you to use them. Few of the things like a paper weight, a pen stand, a writing pad, paper clips, stick notes and other necessary things should be keep within range. Apart from just this, you can also have a pin up board or a bulletin board near your table for you to jot down points. The table storage spaces should also have space to keep the books.
The colour of the area:
Before you plan on how to decorate your study area, decide on what type of wall colour you will be having in that area. Ensure that the colour of your study area matches with the furniture placed. If you like vibrant colours, you can opt for colours like orange and other shades of green, but if you think that vibrant colours are distractive, you can opt for pastel colours which further match the furniture. Avoid dark colours like black and others.
Maintain cleanliness:
