Jaisalmer is nicknamed ‘The Golden City' and is a town in Rajasthan. It is located a little under 600 km from the state capital, Jaipur, and was once known as Jaisalmer State. • Road connectivity to Jaisalmer is good, as it lies on National Highway 15 (NH-15). The Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation runs regular buses to and from the city.
