Nainital, a popular hill station in India, is located in the state of Uttarakhand. It is the headquarters of Nainital district. Owing to its picturesque location, it is one of the famous tourist destinations in India, attracting many domestic and international tourists every year. Nainital was once covered with dense forests, before it was reformed to a tourist spot, mainly inhabited by the tribal people of Kumaoni race.

Uttaranchal Jal Sansthan
The water supply in Nainital is operated and maintained in the city by Uttaranchal Jal Sansthan (UJS). Tube wells are the main source of water supply for Nainital, meeting 93% of its total supply. The water supply network covers the entire town of Nainital, barring some pockets.
Samadhan - Grievance Redressal
If the people of the state of Uttarakhand are not satisfied with any government department, they can now log into samadhan.uk.gov.in and register their complaint. The complaint will be addressed in less than 90 days and the status of the complaint can be checked on the website.
Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna launched the grievance portal to help people register their complaints through an online medium. The portal, Samadhan was launched on the occasion of Republic Day at the CM’s official residence.
