About Puri

Puri is a city and the district headquarters of the Puri district in the eastern Indian state of Odisha. It is one of the most visited tourist destinations and one of the four pilgrimage centers of India. Puri is also one of the oldest cities of the country.

Puri forms the Golden Triangle of East India along with the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Konark. The abode of Lord Jagannath, the city is home to numerous artisans who create rare and exquisite world-famous stone sculptures, handicrafts, seashell items, woodcarvings, Tassar paintings, Patta paintings, and pottery toys depicting several aspects of the Jagannath culture.
