About Rohtak

Rohtak district came into existence in the state of Haryana in 1824, and by 1991, it was divided into five tehsils, namely Rohtak, Jhajjar, Bahadurgarh, Meham and Gohana, with Badli, Beri and Matanhail serving as sub-tehsils. Rohtak became the divisional headquarters of the district just before that.

It is a part of the National Capital Region (NCR) and is quickly turning into the state’s own industrial city. Rohtak is called the city of fasteners because of its fastener and turned parts industry. This industry also forms a vital part of the district’s exports. Agriculture is the primary industry in the region.

The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has created an industrial model township that boosts industrial development further. What’s more is that well-known educational institutions are also situated here, making Rohtak an emerging educational and industrial center.

  • Modern recreation facilities like sports complexes, malls, and integrated townships with their personal community centers are paving the city’s way to becoming a bustling city. Rates have been shooting upwards since the city’s infrastructural makeover
