Visualized in the year 1955 by Late Shri. K. Vasu Shetty, one among the few great PWD Class-I Civil Contractors in Mangalore, who has to his credit the overseeing of contract works of reputed buildings in Mangalore such as Wenlock Hospital, Lady Goschen Hospital, PWD Quarters at Urwa Store and also major projects of KSRTC.
The baton was then passed on to his son, Late K. Padmanabh Shetty, who has earned the trust and confidence of a large number of clients, who even to this day vouch for the quality that Shetty Builders has become synonymous with.
