Major Challenges
The presence of an illegal GHMC dumpyard in the area has repeatedly drawn flak from the residents who have asked for its transfer elsewhere. This dumpyard is causing many health hazards and has contaminated the air with its foul smell and smoke. The presence of a school near this dumpyard has also raised several questions about the health concerns of the children, as well as other residents. Lately, there have been talks of removing or transferring this dumpyard from the locality.
Another issue that has been tormenting the commuters and residents is the absence of streetlights in some parts of the neighbourhood, which has made commuting in the night unsafe. The maintenance of roads in a few of these areas is also poor, making travelling in and around the area a menace.
Factors for Growth in the Future
The completion of the much-awaited Nallagandla Flyover will improve the connectivity to and from the region. Once the flyover is operational, it will not just reduce traffic snarls faced on the Old Highway to Mumbai considerably, but will also provide faster and better commute.
