A few years ago, Baner was an agricultural land. Once famous for its Mango, Guava, Tamarind and Plums. Baner lost its charm as a rich agricultural hub, slowly emerging as a blooming industrial stretch in the making. In addition, curbing the menace of stray dogs in the area is a matter of concern. Although the crime rate is relatively low in the region, petty thefts can occur once in a while. During monsoon, heavy showers tend to take a toll on the busy traffic roads.
